Livestock Collection & Export Preparation
The responsibility for collecting, quarantining, and preparing livestock for international commercial export to new markets—particularly sheep—is managed by Central Region Quarantine and Livestock Ltd (CRS-QLS).
Depending on the livestock category and commercial requirements, some animals are bred and raised directly on the farm, while others are procured at approximately two to three months of age and subsequently reared under controlled management systems until they reach the appropriate stage for commercial sale and export readiness.
